As compact cars go, Kia Forte has come a long way. The economical coupe and sedan duo first appeared as a brand-new offering in 2010, and 2011 saw the addition of a sporty, versatile hatchback style, with 2012 carrying on the fledgling tradition. 2013 was when the four-door truly took off, with upgrades culminating in a 2014 redesign that began to pile on the performance, safety, interior, and technology features that have both made it a best-seller and kept it a favorite ever since. For this, the latest model year, it's almost entirely new. So, what maintains our automaker's small car's position at the head of a rather big pack? See for yourself here at Nashua Kia!
For one, it looks the part in three new colors, with optional wraparound LED lighting, with available chrome molding and exhaust tip accents, and incorporating an optional rear trunk-lid spoiler. Secondly, its interior comes designed to please, in an exceptionally accommodating choice of woven cloth, premium tricot, or SOFINO leatherette-trimmed seating. It's available heated and ventilated up front, not to mention power-adjustable and with power lumbar support. Factor in optional dual-zone auto temperature control and available ambient LED lighting, and you can create the ideal lap of luxury for any trip.
Third, the car's the tech-savvy choice for the jet-setter, with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, freshly upgraded to a UVO eServices model in select trims, as well as voice recognition for ease of control and standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to integrate your smartphone. Bring voice-command navigation and SiriusXM traffic update support into the mix, and it's a breeze to get to your destination. Of course, you'll be entertained for the duration, too, as Forte features a standard four-speaker audio system that becomes an optional 320-watt, eight-speaker Harman/Kardon premium variant in choice models.
Next, it's also the safe bet for the drive, with passive security features such as stability and traction control dovetailing driver-assist tech galore. The latter makes remaining in-lane, on course, clear of traffic and accidents, parking, and even keeping focused a matter of course. But Forte also receives a TOP SAFETY PICK+, the highest rating from the IIHS, as well, when properly equipped. That's a mark of "Good" in all crashworthiness categories alongside a "Superior" front crash prevention rating -- in other words, ultimate peace of mind.
Further, with a 2.0-liter engine and optional Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), Forte is exceptionally fuel-economical. It can get up to 31 MPG in cities, 41 MPG down the highway, and 35 MPG combined, according to the EPA. And, as the car's I4 is now an Atkinson-cycle type, it can shell out a spirited 147 horsepower with 132 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a standard six-speed manual transmission, MacPherson strut front suspension, and optional Normal, Sport, and Comfort drive modes, that means handling's just as athletic.
Finally, however, a new Kia Forte represents great value, as it costs significantly less at base than strong competitors like Toyota Corolla, Subaru Impreza, and Nissan Sentra. And best of all, we make buying or leasing one easy. The auto finance department at our dealership here in Nashua offers several affordable car loans and Kia lease options, whether you're looking at a new Forte FE or LXS from nearby Manchester or a Forte S or EX out in Methuen, MA. Plus, you can take advantage of one of our host of special financing offers available on a variety of Forte models, putting your favorite within reach for less.
